JUMEIRAH ROYAL SARAY never ceases to amaze us and their latest innovative treatments from HydroPeptide at their Spa certainly have us ‘glowing’ back for more.
If you are not yet familiar with this luxury result-driven skincare brand HydroPeptide, you owe it to yourself to experience this at once! HydroPeptide has gained popularity and has revolutionised skincare using the power of peptides and it is now exclusively available at Jumeirah Royal Saray’s Spa. Now, not to become overwhelmed with the science of it all but a team of scientists, dermatologists and even a nutritionist were part of the core development team, so you know that it is revolutionary. These experts all believed that proteins can help rebuild the skin the same way food proteins are necessary and useful to build and strengthen your body et voila HydroPeptide was born.
As I sat down in their cosy spa reception I was offered a detox water as my therapist – who has worked with this brand for years – advised me that peptides are active ingredients that are nano-sized protein molecules that manage to increase cellular communication within the skin and help build blocks of the skin… impressive stuff! They actually act as messenger molecules that work on a cellular level to increase hydration, visibly reduce lines and wrinkles, slow down the melamine production or enhance skin’s natural luminosity. Sounds too good to be true, right? My results are testament to this truth.
Furthermore, depending on your skin type and concerns, HydroPeptide uses a range of 70 different types of peptides within their products that have multiple functions. They can especially help promote collagen production that will help plump the skin or help relax repetitive facial muscle sparkles in order to decrease line formations and soften wrinkles – in a nutshell, it will benefit everyone’s skin. On top of all this magic, the natural plantbased products are all free from harmful preservatives, chemical ingredients, perfumes or additives, yet extremely result driven and effective, which I can vouch for first hand.
Our therapist, Arline started with a consultation form to fill-in in order to get a better understanding of my personal skin concerns. We decided on the Deluxe Detox Facial which is a luxe, purifying facial that clears away build up, deeply cleanses, repairs, replenishes and protects skin while strengthening its environmental defenses, such as that blue light from our laptops and mobiles that we are forever exposed to. As I entered my treatment room my eyes couldn’t help but dance around the masterpiece of indulgence. Adorned with a private bathroom and a balcony which includes an outdoor lounge bed for you to drink in the renowned outstanding view that is eponymous with Jumeirah Royal Saray. Alongside its black and white checkered flooring aside the pool area you can see that it’s manicured with cabanas and their private beach which allows for a breathtaking sensory experience, no matter the time of day.
HydroPeptide facials are designed to leave skin youthfully plump, smooth, radiant and visibly lifted, in one treatment, with continued improvement in the days after. Powerful peptides instantly restore healthy skin structure and hydration. Every HydroPeptide treatment combats telltale signs of ageing with the option to customise the treatment to address additional skin care concerns including – but not limited to – sensitivity, acne, and hyperpigmentation.
After changing into my fluffy robe and slippers I laid down on the heated treatment bed as I was asked as to whether or not I wanted the curtains to be closed. I opted to keep them open as the sunlight was etching in beautifully. It began with a double cleanse using their Cleansing Gel containing cucumber, we adored the second oil-based cleanser that had an amazing fresh citrus fragrance which was gently removed with a warm steamed towel. The Pre-Treatment Toner was smoothed over my skin to remove excess oils, tone and prep my skin for the next step and since this was applied after the extraction I was thankful that it included tea tree oil that helps clean up and purify the face. A delicious thin layer of Honey TriZyme Peel was then applied to my face and neck to resurface my skin before being removed and enjoying a facial massage concoction of HydroStem and Soothing Balm products that were worked between my therapists hands. I was advised after the treatment that my skin was dehydrated as it quite literally drank up this solution, whereas other skin types would have had a steamed towel to remove the excess.
Before and after applying Nordic Detox Mask onto our skin – their rich cocktail of antioxidants that encourage healthy cell turnover and provides powerful protection from free radicals – she went on with a lymphatic face drainage, massaging firmly and deeply our face with different serums, allowing them to penetrate into deeper layers and clean our face from toxins. The add-on eye treatment further amplified the luxury of it all.
She opted for an oil-free moisturiser as per our skin concerns and topped it with an SPF 30 mineral non-tinted moisturiser. We were impressed with the products that we couldn’t help but leave with both the cleanser and toner to elongate the fabulous results. Honestly, I left glowing and it this sense of glow wasn’t just skin-deep. The tinted moisturiser is renowned for being chemical free and blends to your own skin tone, immediately giving a glow and natural look.
We much appreciated the massage on our decolletage that really helped to relax and heighten the experience. I think I fell asleep, which is a first for me, but I can officially say that I received a bonus of some added (and much needed!) beauty sleep.
Lastly, our lips felt plumped and slightly tingling thanks to the powerful lip balm that they applied. Perfecting Gloss contains fresh chili and hyaluronic acid which helps boost the lips circulation and plumps them out. Angelina Jolie, step aside.
This was truly a one-of-a-kind treatment that we thoroughly enjoyed as Arline adjusted the facial steps and botanical products to our identified concerns of the day – dullness, uneven tone, and combination skin – with her own identified concerns – congestion around the nose area. What amazed me most is how these facials can be totally custom-built and respond to everyone’s personal current concerns and needs. This layering based and bespoke facial is definitely a treat that pampered and nourished our skin with natural and active ingredients. An absolute must try in impeccable surroundings and professional expertise!
