The Swiss cellular cosmetic brand Valmont and The Ritz-Carlton Spa have a dynamic relationship, OHLALA learned more about it.

The beauty universe is growing each year, and in this pool of variety, some brands stand out for their quality and unwavering mission of bringing innovative products. The Swiss company Valmont Cosmetics is one of them. For over 35 years, they have developed their unique expertise to offer effective anti-ageing treatments for age-defying beauty. Through a deep understanding of the DNA and RNA of skin and their precious ingredients, Valmont Cosmetics help to reveal skin’s inner radiance. Their products target the complexion on a cellular level, stimulating immediate and long-lasting results. The brand has two cosmetics lines, Valmont and l’Elixir des Glaciers and a luxurious fragrance line, Storie Veneziane.

Last year, The Ritz-Carlton Spa at The Ritz-Carlton, Bahrain started a partnership with the brand and, since then, they have incorporated Valmont into some of their treatments as well as offering the products for retail at their boutique. After a year, we can see that this collaboration is here to stay. It combines skilled therapists and state-of-the-art facilities with a brand of undeniable quality and deep values which only works with spa destinations with specific high standards. Best of all is that we get to enjoy the encounter of these two outstanding companies.

“As a reference spa in Bahrain, we continuously seek ways to innovate our guest experience. With our General Manager Bernard de Villele’s guidance, we started our collaboration with Valmont in 2022. With this partnership, we provide our guests access to this luxury spa product’s cutting-edge skincare technologies, unique treatments and expertly crafted formulas,” said Michelle Reynolds, Spa Director at The Ritz-Carlton Spa. You find the Valmont line in the facial therapies menu and the boutique for continuity of the treatment at home. Michelle highlighted the benefits: “Their formulations are designed to promote cellular regeneration and rejuvenation, resulting in a radiant and youthful complexion. Valmont products also target specific skin concerns such as fine lines, wrinkles, uneven texture and dullness. Their signature butterfly application ritual also creates a truly pampering experience.”

When asked about her favourite Valmont treatment: “We have many Valmont facial treatments, but my absolute favourite is Firmness of the Hills due to its exceptional ability to improve skin density and promote rehydration for a youthful appearance”.

The two brands’ partnership goes beyond the spa walls and last month, Naomi Galli-Merle, General Manager at Valmont Cosmetics Middle East, came to The Ritz-Carlton, Bahrain to re-launch l’Elixir des Glaciers The Essence of Bees. The new formula explores honey’s benefits even further and brings a sustainable touch by donating USD20 (within the limit of the donation) for each product sold in The Essence of Bees line to bee foundations around the globe. OHLALA had the opportunity to talk to Naomi about this luxurious skincare. Here is what she had to say:

OHLALA – Can you briefly tell us about Valmont’s story?
Naomi Galli-Merle –
Valmont is a family-owned group managed by Didier Guillon (President, Chairman and Artistic Director), Sophie Vann Guillon (CEO) and their three children Capucine, Maxence and Valentine Guillon. OHLALA – The re-formulated The Essence of Bees in the L’Elixir des Glaciers skincare collection is all about bee-related ingredients. What is unique about them?
Naomi –
The skin deserves the best every day. That’s why, in 2023, The Essence of Bees is becoming an exceptional daily routine for dry skin. Huile Majestueuse, Crème de Masque Majestueuse and Sérum Majestueux Vos Yeux offer high-performance nutrition in exquisitely light textures. It all started with a meeting between Valmont and Swiss beekeepers, passionate professionals intent on preserving their precious, experiencebased expertise. For this collection, we have developed The Essence of Bees complex. This complex blends honey (a potent moisturiser with restorative properties), propolis (for its cleansing power) and royal jelly (a regenerative balm) for the very first time in an oil.

OHLALA – These products are not only good for the skin but also the bees. Can you tell us more about Valmont and the Beekeepers Foundation?
Naomi –
Absolutely. l’Elixir des Glaciers is further strengthening its commitment to protecting bees. It goes beyond the Swiss borders to the world through robust partnerships with four associations to support complementary projects covering every aspect of the honeybee ecosystem: a majestic example of global leadership for our foraging friends! For the Middle East, we have chosen the Beekeepers Foundation, a wonderful association located in the Dubai Sustainability City. We have committed to donating a percentage of the proceeds from the sale of The Essence of Bees collection to initiatives to protect bees and fund them at every level of their ecosystem.

OHLALA – What are the Valmont products always present in your beauty routine?
Naomi –
I sleep every night with our Prime Renewing pack. It is our best-selling mask that can also be used as a moisturiser (it’s so popular that we sell one every 60 seconds). My daily beauty routine includes Vital Falls, a toner that helps me prepare the skin, followed by LumiPeel, a very soft peeling that I use literally every day. Next is the Moisturizing Booster, an amazing serum that instantly penetrates the complexion. The last step is the Votre Visage cream by l’Elixir Des Glaciers – simply our masterpiece.
