Dior’s scientists have created the Capture Intensive Essence Lotion, a new step in a high-performance age-defying protocol.

Dior researchers are pioneers in the field of cutaneous mother cells, and in collaboration with Professor Knut Woltjen, Associate Professor at CiRA (Center for iPs Cell Research and Application) in Kyoto, they revealed new discoveries in 2025. They demonstrated that between the ages of 25 and 90, mother cell respiration decreases by 40%, which can affect collagen synthesis and epidermal vitality. These unpublished works gave rise to the signature Dior Capture technology: OX-C Treatment. This plant biopolymer optimises oxygen transport by 56% and ATP synthesis by 40%, resulting in an acceleration of 22% in epidermal regeneration and of 42% in dermal regeneration, for a threefold increase in type I collagen production.
NEW INTENSIVE ESSENCE LOTION
In 2026, Dior Capture has reinvented the Intensive Essence Lotion. As the first step in the high-performance age-defying protocol, it prepares the skin to receive the additional skincare in the routine. It deeply hydrates the 10 layers of the epidermis for 24 hours, while reinforcing the skin barrier. This expert skincare contains the OX-C Treatment and Metaboline, a unique new complex created by Dior.
Metaboline is an exclusive complex combining a post-biotic ferment and a mallow extract from the Dior gardens. Working separately and in a complementary way, they act on 10 essential regeneration proteins to increase cell anchoring promoting skin regeneration, improve cell cohesion to help restore the skin barrier and increase hydration. They also boost the strength of the stratum corneum which helps protect the skin from external elements and promote desquamation to assist in cell renewal.
The lotion also includes Lily extract, a key active ingredient which boosts skin regeneration.
