The iconic fashion-first movie, The Devil Wears Prada 2, will be released at Bahrain Cineco and EPIX Cinemas tonight (April 29) followed by other leading cinemas across Bahrain tomorrow (April 30).

Much to the delight of avid fans, the charming characters of the first movie will be depicted by the all-star cast of the first. The oh-so-intimidating Miranda Priestly will be brought to life by the award-winning actress Meryl Streep. Cinema’s most revered villain boss will be joined on screen by Andy, played by the incredibly talented Anne Hathaway, who neither dons a cerulean sweater nor has “no style or sense of fashion” anymore. Emily Charlton, portrayed by Emily Blunt, is Miranda’s former assistant turned rival who is expected to be brutally efficient and fashion-obsessed yet again in the sequel. And last, but certainly not least, Andy’s mentor and confidante – the lovable, warm and witty Nigel Kipling – will be portrayed by Stanley Tucci.
The Devil Wears Prada was released in 2006 and gained a cult-following for its mix of sharp writing, unforgettable characters, and its surprisingly universal themes including work culture, power dynamics and the lengths people will go to succeed beneath the glossy fashion surface.
Nostalgia, the changes to the fashion industry, and pure curiosity have kept fans waiting for the sequels release date!
Bahrain Cineco, VOX Cineco Bahrain and EPIX Cinemas will screen the highly anticipated sequel on April 29 with shows starting at 11pm. Other leading cinemas including Cinépolis Cinemas, Reel Cinemas Bahrain and Mukta A2 Cinemas will screen the movie starting on April 30.
Advanced booking options are available at most outlets.
“That’s all.”
