Stories Of Beauty And Meaning

Jumeirah Gulf of Bahrain and Al Zain Jewellery unveiled Jena Afternoon Tea: Of Gold and Gardens in celebration of Bahrain’s heritage and the shared Arabian roots of both houses.

When the afternoon light turned to gold, the lobby of Jumeirah Gulf of Bahrain transformed into a garden haven, a sanctuary where nature and artistry intertwined. The air shimmered with the scent of citrus and the warmth of dates, while pomegranates, figs, and grapes – the sacred fruits of Arabian gardens – found new life upon the table.

Inspired by Al Zain’s Jena Collection, each creation told a story of beauty and meaning. The menu unfolded like a poem: The Gilded Fig tenderly filled with fig jam, Seeds of Paradise glistening with ruby tones, Treasures of the Palm brushed with gold and Citrus Haven delicacies offering a breath of freshness. Every bite reflected the craftsmanship of Al Zain’s designs, reimagining the fruits of paradise as edible jewels.

Set upon the terrace of Majlis Al Fijiri, overlooking the gentle curve of the Gulf and bathed in the glow of the setting sun, the Golden Afternoon Tea became a living expression of taste, artistry and light. Select pieces from the Jena Collection were elegantly displayed alongside each course, allowing guests to admire the intricate craftsmanship that mirrored the culinary creations before them.

As Bahrain prepares for Jewellery Arabia 2025 – the region’s most anticipated showcase of elegance which runs from November 25-29 at the Bahrain International Exhibition Centre in Sakhir – this timely collaboration stands as a luminous reflection of its spirit, where gold, fruits and craftsmanship come together in perfect harmony.
