Pomellato’s latest capsule collections revisit the brand’s iconic past while embracing the natural beauty of cabochon gemstones.

Italian jewellery house Pomellato, renowned for its bold designs and impeccable craftsmanship, is diving into its archives with MEMORIE D’ARCHIVIO (Archival Memories) to bring back two beloved collections, Mora and Mosaico. These collections, first introduced in the 1990s, have been reimagined for a modern audience. They honour the brand’s longstanding connection to nature and its signature gem cuts while showcasing how tradition can blend effortlessly with contemporary design. Central to both collections is Pomellato’s signature cabochon cut – a rounded, smooth cut that plays with the softness and natural beauty of the stones. This distinctive shape has become a hallmark of the brand, embodying its ethos of playful sophistication.
The Mora line takes its name from the Italian word for blackberry, reflecting its organic and playful nature. Rings from this collection feature clusters of smooth cabochon-cut gemstones nestled upon rose gold bands, creating a striking contrast between the soft gem surfaces and the structured metalwork. Labradorite, chalcedony and diamonds dominate the collection, with each piece celebrating the beauty found on Earth. There’s a softness to the designs that makes them both approachable and luxurious, evoking the whimsical elegance Pomellato is known for.

Meanwhile, the Mosaico collection brings a different, more structured aesthetic. Inspired by the intricate art of mosaic, these rings combine geometric patterns with the natural allure of gemstones like sodalite, skarn and dendritic opal. Each gemstone is showcased in its raw beauty, with the delicate setting of brilliant-cut diamonds adding a sophisticated shimmer. The line’s blend of colours and textures makes each piece feel like a work of art, with an eternal quality that elevates everyday elegance.
Creative Director Vincenzo Castaldo has carefully curated these collections to stay true to Pomellato’s vision. As he notes, these pieces are about more than just beauty – they represent the brand’s commitment to experimenting with unusual gemstones, bringing them into the spotlight through innovative designs.
