But did you know your favourite morning beverage is much more than that? Coffee has long been celebrated for its beauty-boosting abilities and often used as an all-natural alternative to your average body scrubs. But before we get into the DIY recipe, let’s talk about how coffee scrubs benefit your skin. From exfoliating and anti-inflammatory properties to improved circulation, tightened skin, and the reduction of cellulite, coffee gives a smoother appearance overall. And did you know that coffee grounds even prevent ageing through UV rays as they have a protective effect on the skin? If you’re looking for a reason to upgrade your beauty routine, you’ve found one.


You need half a cup of organic ground coffee, half a cup of organic brown coconut sugar, half a cup of organic extra virgin coconut oil (melted), and one tablespoon of organic ground cinnamon. Put all the ingredients in a jar and combine – et voilà! And if you want to leave your coffee scrub in the shower, opt for a jar that is both airtight and waterproof. For best results, use the coffee scrub every day for two weeks while you’re in the shower. Rub it on and scrub in circular motions, especially in the areas you want to work on, always scrubbing towards your heart. Leave it on for roughly five minutes before you rinse it off your body.
