Saudi fashion designer Nora Al Shaikh is making waves with her custom modest fanwear dresses that were recently spotted in Riyadh. The visionary designer decided to create the chic dress exclusively for Al Nassr fans after observing that Saudi female football fans usually expressed their presence in the stands at Al Nassr games with props like flags or scarves.

At the latest Nassr home game in Riyadh on April 29, several women supporters were spotted in the stands wearing custom modest fanwear dresses created exclusively by Saudi designer Nora Al Shaikh for the adidas-sponsored club.
The design offered a refined take on matchday dressing, blending modest silhouettes with subtle club signifiers – a reflection of how modern Saudi women are choosing to express their support both confidently and authentically.
“As football continued to grow in Saudi, I was seeing more women fully immersed in the stands, the atmosphere and the wider football culture,” said Nora.
“Their presence was mostly expressed with props like flags or scarves, there wasn’t actual fanwear designed for how they could dress. That stayed with me and led me to bring this idea to life and create something that truly resonates with them.”

Created as a one-off piece, the dress celebrates women who engage with football culture on their own terms.
The piece sparked wider conversation around the evolving relationship between fashion, modesty and football fandom in the Kingdom, and how women supporters are quietly redefining what fanwear can look like.
