The sportswear brand adidas and Italian fashion house Prada have joined hands once again to produce a brand-new collection – the adidas for Prada Re-Nylon Collection.
World-famous brands adidas and Prada have collaborated on a new collection dubbed the adidas for Prada ReNylon Collection. The creations blend Prada’s expert craftsmanship with adidas’ lineage of sportswear innovation to champion timeless design and sustainability.
The collection introduces a new level of luxury sportswear with a special focus on environmental care. For the first time in the partnership’s history, this collection includes ready-to-wear accessories and bags, as well as elevated takes on the adidas Forum High and Low designs.
Each piece has been made by Prada in Italy, composed of the brand’s signature, the infinitely recyclable Re-Nylon fabric. First launched in 2019, Prada Re-Nylon is a groundbreaking textile created through the recycling of plastic waste collected from oceans and textile fibre waste – it can be purified and recycled indefinitely, with no loss of quality. A fundamental reflection of Prada’s environmentally conscious outlook and commitment to sustainable practices. The celebration of Prada Re-Nylon through this collection highlights a milestone for the brand – the shift of the entire Prada production from virgin nylon to Re-Nylon, achieved in 2021.
Prada also transformed the legendary adidas Originals Forum silhouettes balancing luxury artisanal craftsmanship and sporting excellence. The function and aesthetic identity of the adidas Originals Forum is playfully reinterpreted, with the addition of removable Prada mini-pouch attachments featuring the brand’s signature enamelled metal triangle. The reimagined design also features the luxurious leather three stripes detail and forefoot overlays, highlighting Prada’s famed leather-working expertise.
Made with exquisite finesse and style, each piece of the collection is available in a duo of colour iterations: black with white stripes and white with black stripes, detailed with Prada’s historic enamelled triangle logo.
The two brands are set to celebrate their latest collection with a unique digital activation on metaverse, in which fans are invited to participate through open-source co-creation. The adidas for Prada Re-Nylon Collection is available at prada.com and adidas.com/prada.
