SHOWCASING BRILLIANCE

Celebrating its 30th anniversary, Jewellery Arabia, arguably the largest and most prestigious jewellery and watch exhibition in the Middle East, is back to dazzle with new initiatives alongside the Kingdom’s first edition of Scent Arabia.

The region’s highly anticipated winter event is returning to Bahrain, this time three times the size of the previous edition. As in the past years, the Kingdom will transform into a sparkling destination, attracting visitors and luxury aficionados. Jewellery Arabia 2022 will be hosted under the patronage of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, Crown Prince and Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Bahrain. The event is scheduled to take place from November 22 to 26, boasting widened shopping walkways, an improved exhibitor and visitor experience and the launch of Scent Arabia.

The Middle East’s premier jewellery and watch event will be held at the newly constructed Exhibition World Bahrain in Sakhir. The new, state-ofthe-art venue spans over 54,000sq/m and will provide visitors with access to a wider range of renowned exhibitors from highly coveted regional and international brands. The much-revered event will include a traditional Bahraini Gold Souq, dedicated zones for watches, pearls, up-and-coming designers and pre-loved items. New labels are taking part for the first time ever, as well as various food and beverage retail outlets.

Jewellery Arabia is part of Informa Markets, a company that creates platforms for industries and specialist markets to trade, innovate and grow. Commenting on the occasion, Mohaned El Mahgoub, General Manager of Informa Markets Bahrain, said: “We are delighted to be hosting this year’s Jewellery Arabia at the newly launched Exhibition World Bahrain. The new space accommodates a larger number of exhibitors; this year’s event will leave an impressive mark on all visitors, as we aim to host an unforgettable visual experience with enhanced services and an array of products from the most prestigious brands across the world.”

Scent Arabia, the Kingdom’s first luxury fragrance event, will debut alongside Jewellery Arabia 2022, showcasing a vast selection of highend scents from across the region and the world. Jewellery and perfume enthusiasts will gather to experience a variety of fragrances and limitededition pieces.

INNOVATIVE EDUCATIONAL PROGRAMME

In another first, Jewellery Arabia 2022 will launch an innovative programme which includes several design talks and workshops with world-renowned experts within the jewellery and perfume industries. A dedicated space has been allocated for this at the event, attracting a wider audience interested in expanding their knowledge of jewellery, perfumery and the industry.

Gracing the event will be Anais Fournial, a professional perfumer from Paris and currently an instructor at the renowned ISIPCA Paris, the perfume and cosmetics training institute founded by fragrance master Guerlain in 1970. Anais is also a creator of bespoke perfumes for individuals, hospitality, events and world-renowned brands. During Scent Arabia, she will be offering visitors a series of workshops and talks. Guests will also get a chance to create their own fragrances and discover the dynamics behind perfume-making.

Further, Jewellery Arabia has partnered with Dubai Design Academy, which will be making its debut in Bahrain, to host a number of courses targeting a wide range of profiles, from established professionals seeking to improve their skill sets to young talent looking to learn the basics of jewellery making.

With more than 15 years of experience in jewellery and a thriving career as an authoritative voice in the industry, Katerina Perez will share her expertise with visitors at the event. The globetrotting jewellery aficionado will be hosting short talks on her best tips on how to buy jewellery and offering personal shopping sessions to visitors during the event.

“It gives us great pleasure to partner with world-renowned experts within the jewellery and perfume industries as part of the talks and workshops that will be hosted during this year’s first-ever educational programme at the event. Through this programme, we aim to serve as the learning platform of choice for ‘jewellers in the making’ and hope to launch similar initiatives in upcoming events,” added Mohaned.

The educational programme will cover topics ranging from sustainability in jewellery to pearls, amber and much more. On registering, you will get free access to both Jewellery Arabia and Scent Arabia.
