Golden Legacy

Tiffany & Co. honours the 50th anniversary of Elsa Peretti’s partnership with the house, celebrating a half-century of visionary design.

Elsa Peretti’s arrival at Tiffany & Co. in 1974 marked the beginning of a new era in jewellery design. Her unique approach, inspired by nature and organic forms, revolutionised the industry, creating designs that have remained iconic for decades. In 2024, Tiffany & Co. celebrates her enduring legacy with special anniversary creations that continue to reflect her pioneering spirit.

Elsa’s designs, such as Bone, Diamonds by the Yard and Open Heart, introduced a fresh aesthetic, which was characterised by sensual, fluid shapes that broke away from traditional norms. Her work was about more than just creating beautiful pieces; it was about empowering women to see jewellery as an extension of their own identity. She created pieces that deeply resonated with those who valued both beauty and meaning, inviting women to purchase jewels for themselves rather than waiting to receive them as gifts. This shift was revolutionary at the time and has since become a hallmark of her legacy.

To honour the five decades of the designer’s collaboration with the house, some of her most beloved creations are being reissued with exceptional gemstones and bold scales. These anniversary editions include new Bone and Split rings, rare Bone cuffs set with pavé diamonds and rubies, and limited-edition Mesh styles featuring vibrant stones like tanzanites, rubellites and emeralds. Additionally, her iconic Bean, Starfish and Scorpion pieces will be available in fresh, contemporary forms.

Elsa’s influence on the brand and the world of jewellery remains profound. As these pieces are released, they serve as a tribute to a designer who not only transformed jewellery making but also redefined how women relate to their adornments. Her legacy continues to inspire, ensuring her work remains as relevant and captivating today as it was five decades ago.
