Formula One Fever Where to be Seen

And it’s back again, in its twelfth year running: The Bahrain Grand Prix April 2016. Let the best weekend of the year begin…

It’s one of the most amazing periods of the year in the Kingdom of Bahrain, where people from all over the globe gather and meet in the heart of our small island to attend one of the most exciting events happening in the Gulf region, the 2016 Sakhir Grand Prix – set to top all the previous years. The start of April is going to be red hot.

Going back to the beginning on April 4 2004, when Michael Schumacher was the first to the chequered flag to win the Grand Prix, the first leg of the FIA Formula One World Championship event in the Middle East. It was something new for the kingdom but the right choice of a brilliant future for our beloved Bahrain.

As is always the case during F1 weekend, the calendar is jam packed with the most sought after events. Take note of the following and be sure to attend what is going to be a weekend everyone will be talking about for weeks.

“Shifting Gears” The Electronic Music Experience

The Grand Prix weekend warm-up kicks off from 8PM on March 31 with “Shifting Gears, The Electronic Music Experience” as the official Grand Prix opening party that will feature a line-up of top notch local DJs, followed by a special guest DJ that is no stranger to Bahrain by his music, Ian Pooley (Pooled Music, Berlin) loaded with records to make sure he shakes the crowd like anywhere he goes. Local legends, Han Duo & Maz be opening and warming things up for a night of pure electronic dance music. Entry to the event is by invitation only; invites will be available from Coral Bay, JJ’s Irish Restaurant & Camelot Restaurant.

Club Luxury Soirée

April 1 will be a night where luxury, glamour & chicness (yes, please!) meet in one place under the stars and promises to feature the best of the best in Bahrain and the region with a glamorous international crowd with Club Luxury brand hitting Coral Bay’s shore for one night only with its superstar DJ, Jolyon Petch, accompanied by the talented Sian Evans (Kosheen’s singer) for a live sparkling singing and an astonishing Sax performance by Bahrain’s very own, Franky Flowerz. The night will be dazzled with a breathtaking dance show and an extraordinary opening set by resident DJ Miled to set the mood on the right track from 9PM. The Official Grand Prix After Race Closing Party


And the finale… the best for last. On Sunday night, the whole weekend culminates in a massive way. An industry heavy weight will be gracing the scene: the legendary DJ, Sasha, for the first time in Bahrain as a debut at Coral Bay, headlining the official Grand Prix after race closing party. The night will be mesmerised with a stunning performance of Rumours Entertainment dancers.
