Director Tim Burton’s long-awaited sequel to his surprise 1988 hit Beetlejuice finally premiered at one of the world’s biggest film festivals.

And, while the film wowed the audience lucky enough to get a first look at a sequel 36 years in the making, fans outside the theatre, eager to get a sighting of their favourite actors on the red carpet, were treated to a display of high fashion.

American actor Justin Theroux, who is part of the Beetlejuice Beetlejuice ensemble cast – along with Michael Keaton (who plays the titular character), Winona Ryder, Willem Dafoe, Monica Bellucci, Catherine O’Hara and Jenna Ortega – turned up wearing a ZEGNA made-to-measure one-breasted ivory wool tuxedo jacket with shawl collar in ivory satin on tone, ivory cotton poplin evening shirt with stand-up collar, black wool regular fit pants, black satin cummerbund and black slip on smooth leather boots.

Meanwhile, Theroux’s compatriot and co-star Jenna Ortega wore the iconic Cleo by MARLI necklace as she arrived for the film’s  photocall.

And legendary Italian actress Monica Bellucci wore the CASADEI platform FLORA as she strode on to the red carpet at the Beetlejuice Beetlejuice premiere.
