“Use your smile to change the world, don’t let the world change your smile.” – Noor Almulla

OHLALA – Tell us a bit about yourself and how you reached the position you are in today. How was the path to arrive here?

Noor Almulla – I am 29 years old, and I am known as the ‘Passionate Marketeer’ who loves what she does. I loved marketing since I was 16 years old. Hence, I studied this subject at the University of Bahrain and continued my professional studies by attaining the CIM professional certificate in marketing from Chartered University. My career started in the automobile field, and here I am, passionate about communication and cars. As a fresh graduate, I joined Zayani Motors as a marketing executive; after two years, I got promoted to senior marketing executive. In 2017, I got the offer to be Ferrari Marketing Manager at Euro Motors, and here I am today.

OHLALA – What have you achieved that makes you the proudest in your career?

NA – Being qualified for the world finals of the Testa Rossa Awards and competing for the title as Top Ferrari Marketing Manager. It involved 12 selected contestants to become ‘The Best of the Best’ and have the solemn responsibility to represent my region in this challenge. Eligibility for this award is based on brand understanding, genuine ideas and concepts, prospect generation and ROI (return on investment), marketing plan and KPI (key performance indicators) achievement.

OHLALA – What do you think was the biggest challenge you had to face?

NA – Joining Ferrari with a completely different marketing strategy and target market was the biggest challenge that I overcame. It took me a few months to get to know the market, the brand guidelines, policy, and procedures.

OHLALA – How do you feel about having conquered so much as a woman? Is there any woman that served as an inspiration to you?

NA – In a field dominated by men, I was able to go against the status quo and conquer the challenges I was facing by seizing them as opportunities to learn and grow only by observing what my source of inspiration, Her Highness Sheikha Sabeeka bint Ebrahim Alkhalifa, does to support other women in Bahrain. Not only does she help them, but she empowers them to establish a system that creates equity for women to build and lift one another.

OHLALA – What’s your motto in life?

NA – Use your smile to change the world, don’t let the world change your smile.

OHLALA – What do you do that allows to you disconnect from work?

NA – I make sure that I spend quality time with my family to recharge and be able to perform at work the way I need.

OHLALA – What piece of advice do you give to young ladies out there starting their careers?

NA – As you grow older, you will notice that life is not as colourful as it was on day one. Ensure you always look at whatever you go through as experiences that you either win or learn from. Make sure you prioritise yourself first, make sure you put your values first and create a purpose for yourself. You will be counting your superpowers and sharing them with others because the sky is your limit.
