The Bernini Loupe high jewellery necklace has been unveiled by Pomellato to celebrate its partnership with Venetian Heritage to preserve the treasures of the Ca’ D’Oro museum.
The Italian jewellery giant continues its partnership with Venetian Heritage, the international foundation chaired by Valentina Marini Clarelli Nasi, dedicated to preserving Venice’s artistic treasures.
Following the successful achievement of the façade illumination last year, Pomellato is pleased to announce that this year’s restoration efforts will still focus on the Ca’d’Oro, one of Venice’s most iconic and historically significant buildings.
Pomellato is supporting a special project dedicated to the preservation of some of the most important masterpieces, such as terracotta models by Gian Lorenzo Bernini, models by Stefano Maderno depicting the Labours of Hercules and works by Camillo Rusconi.
This will be achieved through the creation of five state-of-the-art display cases located in the Galleria Giorgio Franchetti alla Ca’ d’Oro, ensuring the long-term preservation of these delicate works while allowing visitors to appreciate them in detail.
“Our collaboration with Venetian Heritage is born from our shared passion for safeguarding Italy’s artistic heritage,” said Sabina Belli, CEO of Pomellato Group.
“By supporting the conservation of these masterpieces, we aim to ensure that future generations can continue to appreciate the genius of Italy’s greatest artists.”
To celebrate this initiative, Pomellato has created The Bernini Loupe high jewellery necklace, a one-of-a-kind masterpiece that represents the brand’s love for Italian art and craftsmanship.
The Bernini Loupe high jewellery necklace features a rose gold pendant with a rock crystal gem slightly veiled, like the mist that often envelopes Venice in autumn, its domed shape cut to resemble a magnifying glass, symbolising the appreciation of beauty in all its forms.
The gem is surrounded by diamonds, creating a play of light that echoes the luminous quality of Bernini’s models.
“The Bernini Loupe necklace is an invitation to pause and appreciate up close the beauty that surrounds us, just as Bernini’s models offer us a window into his creative genius,” said Vincenzo Castaldo, Creative Director of Pomellato.
During the Venice Film Festival, Pomellato will hold a gala dinner that celebrates the rich Venetian heritage while honouring the enduring legacy of Venice.
“We are grateful for Pomellato’s unwavering support and shared commitment to preserving Venice’s cultural heritage,” said Toto Bergamo Rossi, Director of Venetian Heritage.
“The Bernini terracotta models are a true treasure, and the new display cases will not only protect them but also enhance the viewing experience for visitors.
“This collaboration with Pomellato is part of a larger project of Venetian Heritage dedicated to the renovation and restoration of the Galleria Giorgio Franchetti alla Ca’ d’Oro Museum.”
The Bernini Loupe high jewellery necklace is available exclusively at Pomellato’s Venice boutique on Calle Larga XXII Marzo from this month.
This partnership and the creation of the Bernini’s Loupe necklace, reaffirms Pomellato’s commitment to the preservation of the arts, celebrating and sustaining the rich tapestry of Italian art and craftsmanship.
