The sports world needs a timekeeper, and OMEGA is on the job! To celebrate one of the most prestigious sports events globally, it has designed a special watch edition.

With not many sporting events happening lately, the anticipation of the Winter Olympics 2022, taking place in Beijing, is growing even bigger. Planned to start at the beginning of February, the competition is less than a year away. And, to celebrate in style, OMEGA, the Official Timekeeper for this historical event, has created a new wristwatch dedicated to the occasion. A collector’s item for such a meaningful competition.

The Seamaster Diver 300M Beijing 2022 special edition features a 42mm case crafted from stainless steel and includes a unique grade five titanium bezel ring with a 60-minute diving scale in positive relief. On the sunbrushed blue ceramic dial, laserengraved waves can be found along with rhodium-plated indexes and hands filled with Super-LumiNova. As a tribute to Beijing 2022, there are five special minute-markers at 2H, 4H, 8H, 10H and 12H, in the five colours of the iconic Olympic rings.

The polished and brushed caseback includes a stamped Olympic Winter Games Beijing 2022 emblem. OMEGA’s patented NAIAD LOCK system keeps all the engravings in perfect alignment, while behind the caseback sits the OMEGA Co-Axial Master Chronometer Calibre 8800. This powerful movement and the entire watch have passed the eight tests set by the Swiss Federal Institute of Metrology (METAS), guaranteeing the industry’s highest standards of precision, performance and magnetic resistance.

The exclusive timekeeper is set on a polished and brushed stainless steel bracelet including OMEGA’s patented and extendable foldover rack-and-pusher with an extra diver extension.

The brand has been the Official Timekeeper of the Olympic Games since 1932. It has been recording the world’s greatest athletes’ dreams and timed some of the most famous sporting moments in history—almost 90 years of partnership in creating memories in the competition world. Beijing 2022 will mark the company’s 30th occasion in the role.
